I love teaching and coding, especially coding that supports teaching. For me, teaching means creating, facilitating, and participating in experiences that help people to discover, hone, and employ their unique gifts in service to the world. I have a PhD in Information Systems from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and a BA in Leadership Studies and Sociology from the University of Richmond. I've spent well over five years of my life in Japan, and have been a faculty member at James Madison University since 2006. My favorite thing to do is spend time with individuals plotting and scheming about how we can use our talents to make life better for real people right now.
